Mona Shores School Visit – 2018
A great day with 135 students and Mona Shores chaperones who visited Eric’s gravesite at Arlington National Cemetery. The students spent 3 days in class learning about Eric, watching the movie “Taking Chance” and writing letters. What a wonderful way to teach the kids about what it costs our country to be free and to keep Eric’s memory alive at the same time!

Mona Shores School Visit – 2017
Another great day spent remembering Eric with the Mona Shores middle school students. Over 130 students and chaperones Similar to their meetings the last nine years, Eric Wahlberg, a teacher at Mona Shores, arranged for the get together. Everyone gathered to visit Eric’s grave site and learn more about Eric’s life. Eric Wahlberg stated that over 3,000 students have now gone through his 3 day class which uses the example of Eric’s life to learn about duty, honor, integrity and the price of our freedom. It is very humbling and encouraging for my wife Wendi and I to learn that. Thank you Mona Shores!
Mona Shores School Visit – 2016
Similar to their meetings the last eight years, Eric Wahlberg, a teacher at Mona Shores, arranged for the get together. Everyone gathered under the big tree in the grass, in the shade, right next to the “Stay Off The Grass” sign to meet each other and listen to Eric’s dad (myself) speak about Eric to the students before moving on to visit Eric’s grave site.
