Hi Eric and Wendi!
I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to give you an update for your website, but I thought better late then never!
I have graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor of science in marine sciences. I have continued onto grad school at Delaware and am in the process of getting my marine bio-sciences masters. I’m working on an ocean acidification project, looking at how increased ocean acidification, and repeat exposure to acidic water affects the physiology and genetics of corals and anemones (along with their symbiotic algae). I am absolutely loving it!
March 2011 Update:
Hello Herzbergs!
Just thought I would give you an update on my first year of college thus far. I have been taking biology, chemistry, music, english, italian, and math classes so far. I participated in marching band last semester, and this semester I switched my major from biology to marine sciences. I will start taking classes for my new major next year. I will also be going to Italy this summer to practice my italian speaking, and I will be lifeguarding this summer as well to raise some more money for school. Hope you guys are doing really well, you remain in my prayers.

Julia – thank you so much for your update! You look like you are off to a great start. Italy is a great place to practice your Italian…….much better than the Olive Garden restaurant where I tried to practice mine (haha). We wish you all the best.

Dear Eric and Wendi Herzberg,
I just wanted to thank you so much for choosing me for the Eric W. Herzberg Memorial Scholarship! It means so much to me, its going to help me so much in paying for my college education. My education update as of now is that I will be attending the University of Delaware this fall and i will be majoring in biology and marine studies. This scholarship has helped cut out a good amount of the out of state tuition for this school, and i am forever grateful that I have been blessed with it. I can send you my graduation picture, but i don’t have one available right now, but i can get one to you in the near future. And again, thank you so much.
